Fabric Printing Workshop

Join us for a Fabric Printing Workshop at Real Art Make Print at Ocean Studios! Get creative and learn how to design and print your own unique patterns on fabric. This in-person event is perfect for beginners and experienced crafters alike. Come unleash your artistic side and leave with a one-of-a-kind piece of fabric that you can use for all sorts of projects. Don’t miss out on this fun and hands-on workshop! This workshop is run by Suzanne Drummond, who creates work on both paper and textiles.

This is an evening workshop that will run on Tuesdays from 6pm – 8.30pm over a four week period.

We will look to develop skills in drawing, colourwork and print making.

Week 1 – In this week you will be inducted into the screen studio and we will look at examples of repeat prints and begin working on you own images that you want to incorporate in your designs and we will begin to look at colour combinations, concepts.

Week 2 – Here we will begin to create our repeat print desings , in 2 or 3 colourways using hand drawn images.

Week 3 – We will create screens and work on practice printing onto fabric. We will begin printing our first set of images

Week 4 – This week we spend completing the work and possbile print in an alternate colourway.

Please note that all materials are included – if you want to print on anything specific please bring it with you.

You will be able to print on up to three tote bags or T towels as part of this course.

If you need any more there will be a charge per item.
